96 Maxima SE keyless door entry remote

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:25 pm

I bought a 96 Maxima SE used that didn’t come with the keyless door entry
remote control.

Now, I want to install the keyless door entry remote feature into my 96
Maxima SE.  Has anyone done this before?  If so, what do I need?  Should
I leave this to the dealer?  Anyone know about how much it cost or even
if dealer offer this service?

I guess I can also go out and get a car alarm with the keyless entry
feature, but I don’t want an alarm.  I prefer to have the keyless entry
feature only.

thx.

Maxima 89 Speedometer problem

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:25 pm

Have just bought a 89 Maxima SE. Speedo began flickering in mornings and won’t
work. Repair shop changed all part from transmission to back of speedo display
for 300 bucks. Still have same problem and also front left speaker, rear two
speakers and clock don’t work. Shop says it is a loose connection problem and
wants more cash. I have taken the entire dash out and checked all connections.
Checked harness connector behind fuse panel and tried to secure grey connector
with plastic tie. Nothing has worked so far. Don’t know which wires go where.
Any connectors near clutch pedal (5 speed)? Have Chilton’s schematic but can’t
figure out what connections to check. When car hot in the afternoon sun –
speedo, clock and front left speaker work. When cools, they go off again. Will
appreciate advice. If can please reply to krishca…@aol.com.
Thanks.

Speedometer problem Maxima 89

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:24 pm

Need help with fixing electrical connection problem on 89 maxima se 5 speed.
Dial type electronic speedo began working & not working. Took to shop and
they changed transmission sensor and some relay at back of speedo panel for
300 bucks. Still same problem. Now say an electrical connection problem and
will cost more. Took car home removed complete dash to locate loose
connection. found wire harness and tracked back to grey junction box behind
fuse panel. Disconnected box and re-connected, tried using plastic tie to
keep male/female components tight. Still have problem. Changed meter fuse.
Nothing has worked. Don’t know which wires to check for connections. Also
rear two audio speakers don’t work in addition to dash clock and front driver
side speaker. When car hot in afternoon sun speedo, clock and driver side
speaker work most times. when cools off same problem. Any help will be
greately appreciated. If all else fails any ideas on what to ask an
electrical auto shop to look for to keep cost down. Also car shudders in
first gear when taking foot off clutch. Have just bought this car with 132K
miles. Thanks in advance.

300ZX costs

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:24 pm

Why was the last 300ZX so expensive, and what makes it possible for Nissan to
charge so much less for the new one?  Wouldn’t it be easier to just start
producing the old one again?  It’s not like it’s outdated or anything.

1994 Q 45 Dashboard Disassembly

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:24 pm

I am trying to get into the dashboard to change a cell phone fuse and
decided to do it myself so I could destroy the car and then pay someone to
put it back together again.

Ii is not going so well. I just took a crowbar to the ashtray thinking that
to be the key to the puzzle. My wife stopped me as I was going for the 12
gauge.

Can anyone tell me how to get into the dashboard without killing my car,
which loves to take me 150mph in 35 mph zones?

Thanks, Tim

Pathfinder gauge problem

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:23 pm

Help!!  I recently purchased a 95 Pathfinder SE with 50,000 miles on
it.  The problem is that the tachometer needle began bouncing
erratically.  It would then stop working at all and now when you turn
the ignition on, it sticks at 3,000 rpm and stays there.  I can pretty
much live with this, although it’s a nuisance, but now the speedo is
beginning to bounce wildly and then will drop to nothing.  Then after
about ten seconds of being at zero, it will finally jump to my actual
speed.  I believe that they are both electric rather than cable driven.
Could anybody please offer me some advice on where to start looking to
fix this?  I would rather not take it to the dealer if I can help it.
Thanks.

At least you didn’t claim it was 100% legal, like most other fools.

I don’t think "anyone" believes there are enough suckers out there to
make these hair-brained scheme’s work.  Regardless of your own bullshit
testimonial of winding up with a serious case of carpal tunnel syndrome,
from opening over 100,000 envelopes.  Yours was funny enough to read
though.
I wrote this as if "the kid" was going to read it, but I realize that’s
an infinitesimal possibility.

New mini SUV?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:23 pm

Howdy, I’m a truck driver in the Middle Tennessee area and work for one
of the companies that hauls the parts into the Smyrna TN assembly plant.
Nissan built and engine mfg plant nearby here in mid-TN. The other day a
driver who runs between the two plants carried a new truck similar in
size to the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV 4 from one plant to the other. He
tried to describe the appearance. However, I’d like to see a picture if
one exists somewhere in this ether called the internet .

Has anyone heard of this mini SUV.? Know the name? Know where to get a
look at this new truck? I’ve looked around the staging area where new
vehicles are loaded onto the transport trucks. As yet, I’ve not seen
one. My guess is that it is a 1999 or 2000 model. We heard that this
mini SUV is the first product from the California design studio for
exclusive sale in the US. The new corporate philosophy will have the CA
studio design the entire American product line over the coming years.

Please send replies to my e-mail address.

240Z paint /interior color

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 7:58 am

is there a way to find out how original a car is ? I saw a 71 240Z  the
exterior was dark green (brg?) and the interior was black. Now from what I
have seen on the internet the green cars had tan interiors. The cars engine
bay is the same green , as is the floorboards seems like the original color
.  all door jams everywhere is the same green
the interior trim is black the seats are black , no tan anywhere .
are there any sure ways to tell? could there be some cars were ordered
different ?
