95+ Maximae with Padded Vinyl Roof?

I know the title of this thread may have made some of you puke, but I just
have to ask.

On the way to work today I say a current generation Camry with an, uh,
Padded Vinyl Roof.  Not just a vinyl roof, but one of those, uh, Padded
Vinyl Roofs.  Like the ones that GM was putting on Caddy Coupe deVilles.

Dark blue, uh, Padded Vinyl Roof on a silver Camry.  Even to top of the
doors, where they roll into the roof?  THEY had little strips of, uh,
Padded Vinyl Roof on the top edge.  So what are you supposed to think THAT
is when you open the door and see it sitting there.  Looked like an, uh,
Padded Vinyl Roof Caterpillar.

So two questions…

1.  Has anyone seen such a "decoration" on a 95+ Maxima?  I’d like to think
that we Nissan-folk wouldn’t do this, but I’m just wondering…

2.  So what do you call a car like this Camry with it’s, uh, Padded Vinyl
Roof?  I know what a ricemobile is…  what is this?  A
Centrum-Silver-mobile?  "Your over fifty, but still driving an import
sedan.  You need an, uh, Padded Vinyl Roof…"

Just wondering,

I’ve seen some previous-generation Camry’s with this, uh, Padded Vinyl Roof,
and I think some 3rd generation Maximas with, uh, it too :-(

But luckily no 4th gen Maximas yet…

–I haven’t seen a Maxima dressed up like this, but I did see
a 1990 Accord EX 4-door with a vinyl top.  The car was sea green
with a tan vinyl top!!  Ewww gross!!  I also crack up whenever
I see Cadillac Cateras dressed up in all that crap.

No but I think I remember seeing a burgundy felt roof on a Champagne
    Accord once.

Reminds me of the time I was on business in Grand Rapids, MI.  At the
airport getting my rental car.  All they have is one of those puke green
Dodge Caravans (mid ’80s), with WOOD GRAIN on the side.  Gross.

So I’m driving out of the airport, approaching a 4 way stop.  And as I
approach, I notice another puke green Dodge Caravan with WOOD GRAIN on
the side, coming from my right.

And as we simultaneously stop, the other driver looks at me, and I look
    back.

And he sticks his hand out of the window and gives me the ol’ Thumbs Up!

    Takes all kinds.

Don’t follow the relationship between being over age 50 and padded vinyl
roofs on cars.  Bad taste can strike at any age.
