Wanted to know if clear headlight assemblies were available for the 96
altima. No, not the ‘blue’ lights but entire assemblies with clear
transparent (and not transluscent) lenses, like on some of the new hondas
etc.
Thanks.

your dumb headlights are clear if your talking about your turning lights then
say blinkers or if your talking about fog lights say fog lights, you sound dumb
saying "clear headlights"

I know what you are talking about, and I’d think probably not.
The optics of those "clear" lens headlamps on some newer cars (not the arc
discharge lamps, but halogens with a clear front lens) are completely different
than the optics on your Altima.
The ones you have are made with a bunch of diffusers molded in thelens to help
direct the sealed beam onto the road. The rest of the headlamp inside is very
simple, just a reflector and a bulb with no particular optical focus to it.
The newer ones have more complicated mirrors and lenses inside.
You’d have to change out the whole mess, and it would have to be custom made to
fit your car, etc etc. So there’s not much chance that a street-legal
replacement would be made.
Of course, if you are an optics designer and have a very well equipped
workshop, you could probably design your own. <g>

Thank you though.
