Impossible, no, not if you spend enough $$$. It will cost you many times more
.
than waiting for the right car and buying it though
Unless you are a mechanic on the order of Steven Koontz or his nemesis
Dork-Boy (my name, as he didn’t post one), don’t try this at home.

his (Natasha) ’88 Pulsar NX/XE (SportBak) Life is a journey. Enjoy the ride.
hers (Sabrina) ’92 Saturn SL2 (spoiler+sunroof) … a different kind of car.
theirs (Tank Grrl) ’74 K5 Blazer (full convertible) Heartbeat of America.

It’s a waste of time and money. They have different handling systems (TT
has HICAS [4-wheel steering], while the NA does not.) That upgrade u saw
does cost some good money though, but it is fairly easy. *About* the highest u
can get an NA up to by modifying is the level of a stock TT. If you add nitrous
plus some very $$$$$$ upgrades, you can get it higher, but I don’t think u can
get 400hp at the wheels at all (or just barely, maybe…) I just got a 92TT
for $18k. As far as being impressed, u should be, it’s a Z
Z’s from 90-96 didn’t change a whole lot (the 96 being the least powerful) and
the 90-92 being the fastest (not by a whole lot, but they are a little lighter.)
Not many differences from 90-95, just little stuff with options. They changed the
HICAS system in ’94 to be electrical instead of hydraulic, don’t know if that’s much.
I didn’t type much about NA’s because if you’re interested in real HP (like that review
in April’s Sport Compact Car), you shouldn’t buy one. They look terrific and are still
fast and handle well, but you’ll NEVER regret getting a TT!

Steven’s a great mechanic but I’d still challenge him to pull off a NA to TT
Don’t think all the $$$ in the world could make it worth it,
conversion…
probably have the cost of the car.
The key is to *wait* for the right car like said above. I waited a year and
then FINALLY found a Triple-Black Twin Turbo 92 (ahhhhhh…..just sounds
nice…) Had to take a train 800 miles to get it. But who cares…
