Well that really depends on what your definition of "checked" is. I
guarantee you that it is antenna related. Either your antenna isn’t
connected properly to the cable anymore, the cable has a break in it
somewhere, the cable isn’t solidly connected to your receiver, or else
the jack on your receiver that the cable plugs into has a cold solder
joint. I would 1st try a continuity check between the antenna itself
and the center conductor of the antenna cable at the end where it
plugs into the receiver. Then check for continuity between the outer
conductor on that same end of the cable and the frame of the car. If
there is continuity on both the problem lies with the jack on the
receiver. My guess is that the cable came a little loose somewhere or
has a break in it.

Jon

If the AM is working at all your antenna is OK and is plugged in !
AM needs an antenna, FM does not have to have one plugged in to work.
A screwdriver would work for FM but AM needs a good antenna.
The problem is in the tuner of the radio…..

Did you actually pull the stereo out of the dash and check back there?
Nissan antenna wires are wierd, there’s actually two wires that go into
it, the AM antenna is what looks like part of your rear defrost, but
isn’t, and the FM is of course the antenna. The two wires plug into a
harness that plugs into the back of your tape deck, and the FM wire may
have fallen out.
Hope this helps
